Admissions

There are 3 ways to get into Westover depending on your specific needs.

  1. If you have a substance use disorder, you can be admitted to our Substance Use Disorder Program. To do so, you must get a referral from a referral agency. Scroll down to learn more. Please note, we do accept clients on Suboxone but we cannot accommodate clients on methadone.

  2. If you are interested in our 7-day Co-Dependency Program, you can email us directly to get started. Scroll down to learn more.

Substance Use Disorder Program - 19 Days (Residential)

General Requirements

  • Clients should be interested in an abstinence focused treatment centre

  • Client will need to be 7 days free from alcohol and drugs (including marijuana) prior to their provisional date

  • Services will be offered equally to all residents of Ontario 16 and older

  • Assessment must be completed with a referral agency and some restrictions may apply

Looking to come to Westover?

  • Call a referral agency to let them know that you have made the decision to go into treatment. They will assess you to see if Westover is the right centre to treat your specific needs. If Westover is the right one, they will begin the paperwork!

  • Once the Admissions Coordinator at Westover has received and reviewed all paperwork, you will be called to discuss a provisional date (the date that you begin at Westover). Provisional dates are provided on Thursdays and Fridays.

Co-Dependency Program - 7 Days (Residential)

General Requirements

  • An individual must feel they have been affected by someone else’s alcohol and / or drug use either during their childhood or adult years.

  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of admission

  • Applicants must possess a willingness to learn and change

  • Applicants in recovery from substance use disorder must be abstinent for a minimum  of one year at time of application.

Step 1: Call or email the Co-Dependency program director, Pam Giles for information and a brief assessment. We will also coordinate a time for a phone interview with you.

Step 2: Once you’ve had a phone interview, a provisional date will be discussed.


Stage Two Recovery & Relapse Prevention Program - 7 Days (Residential)

General Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of admission

  • Must have previously completed a residential treatment program

  • Must have attended recovery support, 12-step meetings, or private counselling since finishing the residential program

  • Must have at least six months of life experience since leaving treatment
