Program Overview
At Westover, we pride ourselves on being a family-focused treatment centre. The Westover Family and Friends program is designed to encourage recognition of chemical addiction (alcohol/drugs) as a Family Disease. Over the weekend, this supportive and educational program attempts to support family members in the recovery process through the provision of lectures with a question and answer period at the end of each session.
During these sessions we offer ways that will show you how to feel better about yourself, focus on your needs and goals, give you answers/knowledge and guidance to understand this disease that your loved one is going through.
If you are struggling with understanding the behaviours of the addicted family member, we strongly encourage you to attend this program, as it will not only indicate your support and encouragement of the recovery of your family member/friend, but it will also help clarify concerns you may have.
This is a free program that we offer to Westover client’s friends and family over the age of 16. Family members and friends are also welcome to attend Recovery Support.
